Rehabilitation

Our rehabilitation program is a new effort this year and it is going very well! With the help of Neighborhood Stabilization Program funding, we have been able to purchase foreclosures in various neighborhoods throughout Mobile County. After we purchase these homes, a crew goes in to assess the condition of the home and then proceeds to rehabilitate it. After the rehabilitation is finished, we then sell the home to one of our qualified families with a no-interest loan just like our New Construction program! The families must qualify in the same way as the New Construction program families and must also put in the same number of sweat equity hours.

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program has given us the opportunity to revitalize neighborhoods by taking abandoned properties and making them suitable for a family again.
