What does the Church Partnership do?
The Church Partnership supports Habitat for Humanity in Mobile County in its mission to eliminate substandard housing by building decent, healthy, safe and affordable homes with families in the Mobile County community that otherwise would not be able to afford a home. This support manifests itself in many ways including prayer for all involved in the program - homeowners, future homeowners, volunteers and staff. We also supply volunteers to the program not only for the actual home construction but also to assist with homeowner relations, Habitat for Humanity office assistance, food preparation for construction volunteers and many other areas of service. Finally we support Habitat for Humanity with our finances. Each church provided funding to Habitat for Humanity in Mobile County in their own way through monthly giving, as needed gifts or special fund raising gifts. Church members can also supply construction materials or professional services for the home build.

What are the requirements for membership in the Church Partnership?
The Church Partnership is open to churches of all denominations. Our main requirement is that the church provide one member to attend Church Partnership meetings and to assist us with promoting the mission of Habitat for Humanity in Mobile County within their church. While our goal is to have all members provide volunteers and financial support to Habitat for Humanity in Mobile County, we primarily wish to provide the mission opportunity to every church in the Mobile County community. We are prayerful that when your church sees the work being done through Habitat for Humanity in Mobile County, you will be lead to participate further in whatever way you can. There are no minimum financial requirements to join the Church Partnership.
